At the end of January I took another trip to the salt fields outside of Saigon to teach a one-on-one workshop, and of course to shoot a bit! A German guy named Marcel was traveling around Vietnam for a bit, and as an avid photographer, he reached out to us at Saigon School of Imaging about a workshop which could take him to see and shoot something cool, as well as ask some questions and up his game a bit. I threw out a few ideas, but we both landed on taking a trip out to the salt fields in Cần Giờ, about 1.5 hours outside of Saigon. We had a great day out and both made some pretty decent frames, if we do say so ourselves 🙂 . You can check out what Marcel shot here and below are a few of my favorite frames from the day.

I also went last year and did some black and white frames, but this time I thought I’d change it up and do color. Have a look at the previous post, and check out the new stuff below. Hope you enjoy!

That’s it for now! There’s another workshop client who also wants to go in the works, so hopefully I’ll be going back soon, which of course I’m always into! If you’re in need of any kind of photography help in Saigon, just give us a shout!

And finally, a big thanks to Tanya at Somewhere in Saigon for referring clients over when she’s unavailable, thanks Tanya!!
