Continuing on with our little European family adventure (part I is here), it was back to the Brussels train station to hop in a seat that would carry us to our next stop, Amsterdam. It was to be an even shorter visit than Belgium, just 2 nights, but since we were geographically nearby, and being that it’s a quite cool city that I had been some time ago too, we thought it was worth a run through.

As always, my beloved Fujifilm X100F was by my side, and faithfully capturing some of the light, lines and colors that crossed my eyes.

The next leg of the journey was a flight to Prague. I lived here briefly around 2005, when I was between leaving the US but before arriving in Asia, so loving the city at that time, I knew I had to go back and take my travel-mates this time.

There was a little hiccup in the airport that consisted of us being too busy with all the bags and baby related pieces that we left a carry-on suitcase outside security. We figured it out about 15 minutes later and I came back to find a group of police with big guns and not happy faces standing around it. I apologized profusely, convinced them there wasn’t a bomb inside, got the bag back and we made it there just fine! Within a short time of landing, we were on a bus headed straight to our AirBnB, which was an amazing apartment perfectly situated at the busy station of Andel.

We headed straight out to explore the Old Town Square, and I was pleasantly surprised to still kind of know my way around the streets a bit. Being sort of late afternoon by then, the one thing we quickly realized is that Prague gets a lot colder after dark! So after a short wander through the square and Charles Bridge, when the sun went down, we headed indoors to fatten ourselves with plenty of Czech beer and food to keep warm!

The next 3 days were spent exploring the city and probably putting on a kilo every hour with pit stops for the above mentioned bites & bia! In the end, it was a great stop and it made me happy until next time I’m able to come back! Here are a few of my favorite frames from Prague.

So, thanks for making it this far! Happy Holidays, and stay tuned for the 3rd and final post coming soon too.
