This project was about right in the middle of a collection of 7 properties we did pretty much back to back in the first half of 2023. Only slightly smaller in scale with only a 2 day shoot instead of the typical 3 days, we still did all the pre-production of casting the talent, bring on support crews and working with the director of sales on refining the concepts for each image, both before we arrived and as we worked, taking into account realities on the ground, that aren’t always able to be planned for. Given it’s location in the mountains of Northern Vietnam, it’s a place well suited to explore the surroundings, which is what we did for half a day or so, to capture some destination imagery that would compliment the scenes we shot inside the hotel. Being a place for young travelers and business travelers, they also had a strong selling point of having a few good craft beers on tap, which was a bonus in the end! All in all, it was a great few days spent and a few great images captured.
