These images are from a brief trip to Nepal in 2007. After being in East and South East Asia for a while, South Asia presented itself as quite different. Kathmandu was, I’m sure, the craziest city I’ve been to at that point, and still may be. The population density mixed with poverty and tourism provided quite a background the first few days of discovering this new country. Contrasted with the friendly, open serenity of the jungle region in the Chitwan National Park, I was left with many photographs and memories of two different sides of one country. Obviously, there are many more I didn’t get to discover. But hopefully the future holds some more time for me in Nepal.
