I’m sorting of working backwards in posting images from the chronology of the trip, but continuing on, or back I guess…These frames were from a day spent with a friend and a driver called Sparrow (still not sure why, but he was great) checking out the rural town and village scenes several hours outside Yangon. We headed out in an early nineties Toyota Corolla, which is not far from as good as it gets in Myanmar, where the vast majority of automobiles are decades old and in various states of disrepair, though still functioning as city taxis. Our first stop was the township of Thanlyin, maybe and hour and a half outside the city limits.
